Bordeaux: tender for the stadium

Bordeaux City Council voted today to launch a tender as part of a public-private partnership (PPP) to build a new stadium desired by the municipality and local authorities for the Euro-2016.

Elected officials voted to launch a "competitive dialogue within the framework of a PPP to provide an assessment and quantification," he said during a press briefing Alain Juppe, the mayor of Bordeaux UMP , asserting that the outcome of this tender "will be a crucial test for the feasibility of project.

"We have determined a budget of 165 million euros, which includes the stadium with a capacity of 43,000 to 45,000 seats for comfort conditions required by national and international rules," and the amenities immediate vicinity, "Mr. Juppe said.

" If it was a lot more, it would call into question the feasibility of the project and if it is less, it would be a good surprise, "continued the former Prime Minister, prior to City Council.

He said the PPP, which everyone will engage in twenty years, is "more beneficial to the community that the project owner live audience, "especially because it allows" better reflect the times, perhaps the costs and then integrate (...) construction, major maintenance and repair "and" to better distribute the force of different partners, that is to say the club and other public funders.
